ll too frequently, CPAs are still viewed as mere record-keepers and tax return preparers this is a self- fulfilling prophecy for accountants, because all too often we become so focused on these routine compliance matters, we may overlook the chance (or not make the time) to offer you the additional (and more interesting) services that we are able to provide. In general, accountancy services may be placed into two major categories: (1) Control and Reporting Services, and (2) Analysis and Planning Services.Control and Reporting Services
These are what CPAs are best known for the necessary evils endemic to all businesses.
Analysis and Planning Services It should be noted that most of these "products" involve a dynamic process -
which at its heart involves education and awareness. If you see a service not presently
being provided, ask your waiter (the CPA firm partner or principal). After all, whose

Corporation, in Sherman Oaks, CA. The practice emphasizes services to entrepreneurs,
executives, professionals and their closely-held corporations.
These next services pick up where the above services leave
off, and treat your operation as a business (it really is one), and attempt to help shape
it and give it direction. Tragically, many business owners do not make the time to involve
themselve in their own business' direct financial affairs.
